Eid Mubarak! Fine Dining in the Middle East
ets face it….The best way to celebrate any special occasion certainly involves great food! Last week marked the joyous occasion of Eid Al-Adha (translated into English meaning ‘Feast of Sacrifice’) where food plays both an important and traditional role in marking this special occasion. For this week’s blog, to honour this key event, we have focused on luxury restaurants and venues offering fine dining experiences in the Middle East over the Eid festivities, and beyond!
The QE2, Mina Rashid, Dubai
Following a multi-million-dollar investment programme, the 13-deck ship has been restored to her former glory and today serves as a world-class entertainment, tourism, hotel and dining destination in Dubai. Set on the Quarter Deck against the backdrop of Dubai’s iconic skyline and the shimmering emerald waters below – Guests embarked on a voyage through a myriad of world-cuisines. From classic British roasts, fresh seafood counters and live cooking stations to artisan cheese platters, delicious salads, and an unparalleled dessert selection.
CUT by Wolfgang Puck, Four Seasons Hotel, Bahrain Bay
CUT by Wolfgang Puck at the Four Seasons Bahrain Bay is the restaurant on everyone's lips these days. And with Michelin-starred celebrity chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck in charge of this establishment who can blame them! With locations in all the trending hotspots, including Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Las Vegas, London, New York and Doha this steakhouse franchise is bringing globally renowned, Michelin level fine-dining cuisine to Bahrain. Chic furnishings and the ultra modern decor deliver an extravagant experience set to the dramatic backdrop of the city skyline.
CIPRIANI, Abu Dhabi, YAS ISLAND
Not only does Cipriani boast incredible views of the marina and stylish and elegant interiors making it the idyllic venue to celebrate Eid al Adha, they are also one of the best restaurants in Yas Island. The Italian restaurant launched a special Eid Al Adha menu with options including: Lentil salad with prawns, orange, spring onion and cherry tomatoes. Homemade ‘Bigoli’ with duck Ragu. Oven-roasted lamb shoulder with mashed potatoes. And to finish it off, napoleon cake with strawberry!
Al Angham, Muscat, Oman
Al Angham restaurant is the first of its kind in Oman in terms of the designs taken from the Omani architecture that appear clear in the various halls and venues of the restaurant. The unique Omani patterns, designs and silverware scatter in the different corners of the restaurant and the tables are covered with magnificent motifs taken from authentic Omani heritage.
The restaurant serves the most delicious Omani traditional dishes like Shiwa, Harees, Jareesh, O’rsyia and many others. Delightful!
