The legendary property’s flamboyant, star studded heritage has been imaginatively revived in its recent refurbishment with a return to the sense of a grand promenade yet under a contemporary and relaxed idiom.
Our design details look to tell the hotel’s story being the stage for high society balls and debutante dances. It’s connection with the early days scandalous affairs brought further inspiration for the collection aptly named ‘caught in the act’.
The idea of ruffled neck lines from being pulled in for a kiss and design features reminiscent of getting ready in a hurry. The snakeskin, stand-out fabric was born out of a story we researched whilst digging deep into the archives of the British Library. Tatler reported that a troublemaker had released a python into the Debutante’s ball. The snakeskin fabric was sourced from our Italian weavers to achieve an elegant yet 21st Century design.
Our achievement is a glamorous uniform collection, delivering a look the staff are excited to wear and that tells a story creating a lasting impression with it’s guests.
