Malmaison is a collection of upscale boutique hotels found across 15 UK cities and conceived with the lifestyle preferences of today’s discerning millennial travellers in mind. The chain is named after the Château de Malmaison on the outskirts of Paris, which inspired the design and style found within its hotels.
Inspired by the creativity of 70’s pop art and modern urban architectural forms, with functional straight lines, we created a distinctive pattern. A blue and white stripe panelling became a tonal centrepiece, brought to life with a vibrant pink delivering a bold and brilliant statement.
We focussed on both a modern, functional and durable tailoring with straight lines and classic cuts across both the men’s and women’s suits. Crisp fitted shirting with unconventional panelling provided both interest and contrast and tied into the quirkiness of the spaces.
Ultimately we have looked to deliver an upbeat designer uniform that was full of imagination, capturing the energy of the boutiques. Delivered with both chic-ness and elegance but with an effervescence and modern edge to thrill and inspire both the staff and the modern traveller.
