Created by the famed Hakkasan Group, Sake No Hana is where world-class culinary experiences and dramatic design converge. Set in the heart of Mayfair in a striking yet serene high-end dining room setting. It is modern, sumptuous and authentically Japanese. Kengo’s eye-catching design inspired our fabric selection, we designed a bespoke weave with surface interest, including linear and lattice formations. This fabric choice became a distinctive feature within these luxurious uniforms, highlighted with an accent tone to truly complement the restaurant interior.
To build on the fabric choice we took reference from the Obi sash traditionally used in Japanese dress and part of the Kimono outfit. There are many types of Obi but a woman’s formal Obi is traditionally wide and ornate. Both designs benefit from this Japanese styling, which we have evolved in a modern way by drawing in the silhouette at the waist.
The restaurant is always dramatic with varying shades dependent on the time of day. Glass wear and bamboo shutters create a striking watermark effect, which has been highlighted in the conceptual uniform sash and through the fabrication. Charcoals mix with natural earthy tones that create a sophisticated mood within the interior, which has informed our own distinctive colour palette to complement the space.
Our contemporary uniform design solution has taken the spirit of the building and the contemporary Japanese dining experience it delivers to new levels. Elegant, confident uniform designs ensure the staff feel as impeccable as the service they deliver.
